Become a Fixer

Homeowners post the job. You bid. You are not charged for a homeowner who never replies.

No lead fees

Fixt does not charge per lead and does not charge per bid. The pricing page states there are no per-lead charges. You pay the Fixer Pro subscription below. The homeowner pays the winning bid. A 5% fee comes out of your payout.

Fees

  • 14-day trial, then $29/month. The pricing page lists a $0 trial for 14 days with unlimited bids, then Fixer Pro at $29/month. The terms say fixers must keep a valid subscription at $29/month after the 14-day trial, billed monthly, and that the current billing period is non-refundable. The pricing page also says you can cancel anytime.
  • No charge for a lead. There is no per-lead price in the product. A homeowner who does not hire you does not create a lead fee.
  • 5% platform fee, taken from your payout. On a $100 bid the homeowner pays $100 and you receive $95. Nothing is added on top of the bid.

Requirements to bid

These are the checks the bid route actually runs.

Fixer account, age 18+

The terms require you to be at least 18 to create an account. Only a user with the fixer role can submit a bid.

Active subscription or trial

A bid is rejected unless subscription status is “active” or “trial”. That check runs on every bid, whether or not the other trust checks are turned on.

No trade license required to bid

License verification is not a bid check. A missing license does not block a bid.

New York only

In-person fixer bids are limited to New York State ZIP codes 100–149.

This blocks a bid only when trust bidding is enforced. A trade license, a background check, and Stripe Connect do not block a bid.

Insurance or COI on file

When FIXT_ENFORCE_TRUST_BIDDING is on, a bid needs insurance marked verified or a COI date still in the future. Coverage is the minimum your state requires. You can attest that on your profile. The bid check does not read a dollar amount or a carrier.
