Commercial plumbing in New York City
Restaurant plumbing calls cluster on the pre-rinse, the dish machine, the water heater or booster, and floor drains. Say which fixture failed.

Typical issues
- A pre-rinse sprayer that leaks at the hose is a short repair if the shutoff holds.
- A dish machine with low incoming temperature may be the booster or the water heater, not the dish machine itself.
- A floor drain backup at the dish pit can be grease. Say whether other fixtures in the building are also slow.
- A water heater that serves only the kitchen is a different visit from the building boiler. Confirm which one.
- A shutoff that spins and does not stop water has to be in the request. It changes the whole job.

What to ask a pro
- Which fixture, and is the rest of the building fine?
- Does the shutoff hold?
- Is this grease, or a clear-water leak?
- Is the water heater the store unit or the landlord boiler?
- Can the dish pit stop during the visit?

- The fixture, the shutoff, the water heater or booster nameplate, and a short note on whether other drains in the building are slow. That splits a store problem from a building stack.
